After two years in Early Access, Dr. Murph is complete. Version 1.0 is the eighth and final episode of our adult sci-fi comedy visual novel, and it ends Early Access for good. Patreon supporters get the finale build in the coming days, and the Steam and itch.io release follows about two weeks later.
This is the last content update. Everything we planned for Murph, Repa, Silvia, Amber, Lana and Puffa is now in the game.

The story so far
Dr. Murph is the least competent doctor in the Anomaly Control & Management Agency. Over seven episodes he has been sent to four planets to solve medical emergencies, and on every one of them he has managed to make things worse before making them very, very good. Along the way he collected Silvia, the sweet farm girl. Amber, the foul-mouthed rebel with a pet dragon. Lana, the nurse who never quite left. Puffa, the lab assistant. And Repa, his gorgeous alien roommate who has spent the entire series keeping him at arm’s length.
Episode 8: the finale
The final episode opens with Murph at rock bottom. Three weeks without a mission, the internet bill overdue, and Repa still locking her door every night. His plan: cook her the most romantic dinner she has ever seen.
That dinner is where the episode starts, and it ends with every woman in the series under one roof.
New in version 1.0:
- Cooking minigame. Choose ingredients from the shelf and add them to the pot and pan in the right order. Murph’s inner monologue drops hints. Get it right and dinner is served. Get it wrong and the kitchen becomes a crime scene. Both outcomes have their own achievement.
- Repa’s story concludes. The slow burn that has run since Episode 1 finally pays off, in the kitchen and in the bedroom.
- Lana returns, pregnant and widowed, and immediately complicates everything.
- A rescue mission on Andropia. General Gay Jim has killed the emperor and occupied the planet. Amber is arming a revolution from her living room, and Murph has to keep her alive long enough to win it.
- New scenes: Amber in the gold dress, Silvia and Amber in the bath with Repa watching, the Repa and Lana threesome, and the full five-woman harem finale with a choose-your-partner animation selector.
- 8 new Steam achievements, bringing the total to 23. Highlights include “Pasta a la Murph”, “Why Is the Meat Moving?”, “Not Today, Gay Jim” and “Running a Hotel Now”.

German and Italian are new for this release. Every episode, every menu, and every one of the game’s UI strings is now translated into all nine languages, with in-game language switching from the main menu.
Lovense toy support, added earlier this year, now covers every intimate scene in the game, including the new Episode 8 content.
Why we’re ending here
We could have kept adding episodes. Sales have been steady and the community has been generous with ideas. But Dr. Murph was always meant to be a story with an ending, and the ending we wrote back at the start is the one you’ll play in Episode 8. Murph gets his harem. Repa gets her “hotel”. Stretching it further would mean padding, and padding is the enemy of comedy.
Calling the game complete also means something practical for players: when version 1.0 lands, you’re buying a finished game. No roadmap, no “coming soon” tab, no waiting. The whole story, start to finish, for one price.
Ongoing support
“Complete” does not mean abandoned. We will continue to:
- Fix bugs reported on Steam, itch.io, Discord and Patreon
- Correct translation issues in any of the nine languages
- Keep the build compatible with current Steam and Ren’Py releases
We will not be adding new story content, characters or scenes.
